How to care for your Hoko garments so they last much longer

Hoko garments, by definition, are very durable, but like everyone else, they like to be cared for.

It's important to keep in mind that our fabrics are made with polypropylene yarn and colored microfiber. This prevents fading or pilling due to wear and tear. However, you should be careful with high temperatures, whether in the wash, in the dryer, or with the iron, as these can damage the garment by shrinking it or even unraveling the fabric.

For optimal washing, we recommend washing any hoko garment in the washing machine at a maximum temperature of 40º. No fabric softener is required. Hang it up and you'll see that it dries much faster than you imagine.

DO NOT use dryer.
Since it is made of polypropylene fabric, excess heat can cause the garment to shrink.

Do not iron
The microfiber of the fabric melts upon direct contact with low temperatures.

Machine wash.
Maximum 40º

DO NOT use bleach.

It can be hand washed.

To quickly know which is the front of the mesh or the front part, you just have to look at where the logo is; it should always be on the front of the left leg.

It's important to fit the garment properly, especially around the groin area, to prevent pouches and chafing, especially with the SENSEI model.


They should be put on from the bottom and gradually raised up both legs, thus distributing the fabric so that it fits properly throughout. Fig. 1. If you pull up the tights like pants, you'll leave half of the tights on the middle of your legs, and it will feel like they're not your size. Fig. 2.


Remember that we work the fabric specifically to provide compression in each of our products. This doesn't mean the compression should be tight or uncomfortable. Instead, you should notice the tight mesh and your muscles supported. This will help you recover properly and prevent possible muscle injuries.

When we say our clothes have memory, we mean that after each wash, the fabric returns to its original position as long as it has been properly used and cared for.

That is why we recommend that you open the weft of the stitch with both arms every time you put it on to relax the fabric as shown in Fig. 1.

Once you've put on the sleeves, avoid excessive tugging at the armpits and cuffs if you want a snug fit and the garment to do its job of keeping your body warm. Fig. 2

SENSEI, the teacher. In this ultratrail mesh we have put all our knowledge at the service of long-distance runners, the result is a sublime mesh designed down to the last detail to make it easier for mountain masters to pass the kilometers and hours.

Thanks to its polypropylene microfiber construction, the Ultra Trail Sensei tights adapt to the rapid weather changes found in high mountains, giving the sensation of wearing nothing while protecting us from the elements. Their performance is especially notable in rainy and/or cold weather.


These tights are designed to last, even with the intensive use we know long-distance runners will give them. To that end, we've moved the seams to the outer sides of the legs, preventing wear and tear from friction.

We are experts in compression, and in this tight we have found the perfect balance required by long-distance runners: the strong compression necessary to contain muscle oscillations but at the same time gentle enough to be able to wear the garment for many hours at a time.

We know that ultra-distance is about adding kilometers, elevation gains, experiences, and hours, so we want it to be pain-free. To that end, the mesh finishes are designed down to the last detail, such as the inner lining of the groin seams to prevent chafing and the elastic-free waistband for greater comfort.

This mesh is designed both to complement the use of a competition backpack and keep essentials close at hand in its front pockets, and for training sessions or shorter outings, to carry everything you need, including hydration. The pockets are spacious and elastic so you can carry everything securely and without bouncing.

Trail (training): allows you to carry liquids (distributed in bottles of up to 250 ml, preferably soft ones), a mobile phone, bars, a windbreaker, or arm warmers.

Trail (competition): It can replace the use of fanny packs or make it easier to transport items that we don't normally carry due to lack of space to store them, such as bars, gels, sleeves, or liquids.

Ultratrail: Complements your backpack by reducing bulk and allowing quick and easy access to frequently used or urgent items. This allows you to eat or keep warm without having to remove your backpack.
